The Matsqui Trail Regional Park features a riverfront recreation path called the Matsqui Trail which is popular for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. The Matsqui Trail is gravel and measures about 7 kilometres one-way. It is also part of the TCT (Trans Canada Trail).

In total there are 26 kilometres of recreation trails in the park. There are over 18 kilometres of hiking trails, 13 kilometres of horseback riding and mountain biking trails - some are shared trails, some are hiking only.

The main Matsqui Trail connects to 2 recreation day use areas - the Mission Bridge and the Page Road.

Mission Bridge is located at the main park entrance at the south end of the bridge crossing the Fraser River. There is a large parking lot, two day use picnic area, toilets, fresh water tap, information signs, a small paid campground (unserviced) and an equestrian staging area.

The Page Road Recreation Area is located on the east end of the park at the end of Page Road. It includes a parking area, toilets, an equestrian staging area and river access for canoes, kayaks and fishing.

On the west end of the park the Matsqui Trail connects to the Olund Trail. The Olund Trail is not in the Matsqui Trail Regional Park. The trail does pass through the Matsqui First Nation Reserve. The trail eventually connects to Douglas Taylor Park and the Glen Valley Regional Park.
