Bodega Ridge Provincial Park measures over 233 hectares. The park protects the flora, fauna, marine and birding wildlife living and growing in the region. Bodega is best known for its 3.5 - 4 kilometre hiking trail and birdwatching opportunities following along a mountain ridge overlooking Trincomali Channel, Wallace Island Marine Park and Saltspring Island.

The Bodega Ridge Hiking Trail hikes to a summit viewpoint. However, it is important to note that there are plenty of marine and ocean views also enjoyed when hiking various sections of the trail. Be careful as you look around as there are cliffs, loose rocks and slippery slopes along the trail.

The trail is best described as eye opening. The hike can be challenging with some sections including some elevation hiking. The trail explores a shoreline, old paths and sections of logging roads depending on how far you go. There are arbutus trees, Garry Oak trees and hairy manzanita. Sections of the trail explore routes with fields of salal.

Bodega Ridge is a very popular birding site. The landscape is a protected habitat of the Peregrine Falcon. The landscape is a nesting, feeding and hunting grounds for the predator bird. The falcons share the region with Bald Eagles and turkey vultures. The 3 predator birds attract many birdwatchers to the trail and park.

After the viewpoint on Bodega Trail there are some other connecting trails exploring further along the ridge. Visitors can add on another 5 kilometres.
