Pure Lake Provincial Park

A swimming and picnicking fresh water lake destination park on Graham Island, part of the Haida Gwaii Islands, in between Masset Village and Port Clements Village.

Pure Lake Park - Haida Gwaii, BC Photo GalleryA short hard-packed gravel trail leads from the parking lot to a small sandy beach fronting Pure Lake. The surrounding shoreline is cut short by trees on each end of the beach area. There is no trail around the lake for exploration. From the public beach area one can see the lake is surrounded by many trees, thick under brush and salal.

Pure Lake Park is 130 hectares in size. A small provincial park in comparison to most government operated parks. This wilderness park has a day-use/picnic area with five picnic tables, some grassy areas and two fire rings. There are pit toilets onsite. Firewood is not provided and do not use what you find in the bushes... BYOB - Bring Your Own Burn. Many visitors arrive at Pure Lake because it is an easy access lake. The parking lot is close to the beach. A big reason why the lake park is a popular destination to relax, swim, picnic, play in the sand, kayak or canoe.
