Antler Lake is located in the back country forests near the community of Gold River, BC on Vancouver Island, Canada. Antler lake is a small wilderness recreation lake popular for swimming, fishing, canoeing and picnicking.
When visiting the crystal clear lake there is a good chance there will be an opportunity to view wildlife, especially birding and possibly black bears, deer and cougar.
There are some picnic tables, pit toilets and a roof top boat launch. The parking lot is small. The scenery is worth bringing a camera. Be prepared as the lake is a local swimming hole that can get busy on weekends.
Antler Lake Trail takes about 2 hours to complete at a leisurely pace while exploring a Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar forest. The hiking trail loops around the lake , crossing over a rock slide, mini bridges and some boardwalk. Located along the trail are soem sitting benches. The Antler Lake Trail connects to the Scout Lake Trail.
