Brae Island Regional Park is a wilderness recreation destination overlooking the Fraser River in the community of Langley, British Columbia, Canada. The park encompasses Tavistock Point which is on the northern tip of Brae Island.

Some of the activities and adventures enjoyed when visiting Brae Island Park include hiking, canoeing, kayaking, biking. sightseeing, picnicking and camping.

The Brae Island Regional Park is an education centre as well as a recreation stop. During the year many events and educational school programs operate from Brae Island. For visitors this is good news as that would mean there are quality facilities on the island and, you know, the trails are maintained.

Some of the commercial services and amenities located on Brae Island include a campground, food and drink vendor, paddle centre boat house, day use picnic area, sandy beach, dock, canoe/kayak rentals, outdoor education programs, special events and summer day camps.

The hiking trail on Brae Island attracts many to the region. The 3-4 kilometre sightseeing trail is easy-going and level. The trail is a loop route leading to the point on the northern tip of the island called Tavistock Point.

The trail follows the shoreline of the island with forested sections. Along the route are a series of off-shoot trails leading to great viewpoints over looking the Fraser River and peering out at the coastal mountains.

How To Get ToBrae Island Regional Park

The main entrance to the Brae Island Regional Park is located near the town of Fort Langley.

In the community of Langley, B.C. travel the Fraser Highway and take the Highway #10 exit onto Glover Road. Continue north on Glover Road, past Hwy #1, into the Town of Fort Langley. Continue on Glover Road over the bridge to the park entrance on your right.
