Deer Lake Park is a recreation destination for many locals and visitors during the summer months and a year-round cultural destination for artistic facilities located in the Burnaby, BC, Canada region.

The south, east and west side of the park are covered with trees or exposed with grassy fields and open green space. Most of the cultural facilities are located on the north side of the park.

The cultural and art facilities include the Burnaby Art Gallery, Burnaby Village Museum, Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, the Hart House Restaurant and the nearby James Cowan Theatre.

Deer Lake is the central feature of the park. Located west of Deer Lake are some bio filtration ponds, a viewing tower and a seasonal wetland area. South of the lake are numerous creeks and streams. And on the east side of the lake is a small public beach and dock.

The forest provides shade on many selected trail routes. The trails are well maintained, very easy going and suitable for all ages and fitness levels. The trails follow a gravel path with some raised boardwalk sections to protect the sensitive marsh and wetland areas.

The main trail in Deer Lake Park circles the lake and measures 5.8 kilometres. The trail network in the park connects to various amenities and services like a canoe launch, boat house and boat rentals, day use picnic sites, playground, washrooms and an outdoor stage.

The trails, ponds and lake provide an opportunity to enjoy a selection of summer activities in the park. Some of the more popular activities include canoeing, kayaking, walking, jogging, picnicking and birdwatching.
