The park entrance is located at the 689 kilometre (Mile 427) point on the Dempster Highway which is 232 kilometres after the Yukon/NWT Border crossing.
The Tithegeh Chii Vitaii Lookout includes a hiking trail and lookout platform. From the gravel parking lot follow the short 300 metre boardwalk and dirt trail to the wooden lookout peering out over Campbell Lake and the Gwichin' Territorial Park.
The lookout is perched on top of a rock cliff surrounded by interpretive signs detailing the local geography, plant life and wildlife in the region. There are some sitting benches at the lookout. The lookout is one of the best viewpoints (must stops) on the Dempster Highway for views of wetlands, lakes and cliffs before arriving in the community of Inuvik, NWT.
The Tithegeh Chii Vitaii Lookout is a birdwatching destination for many. The Gwichin' Park is a staging area for many bird species during migration. From the lookout, with a good set of binoculars, birding opportunities are very possible. Some of the bird sightings from the Tithegeh Chii Vitaii Lookout may include the peregrine falcon, gyrfalcon, hawks, swans, geese and many species of ducks.
The Gwichin' Territorial Park is also the most northern limit for Wood Frogs. Some of the wildlife in the park include caribou, bears and wolf. The Bluenose Caribou Herd sometimes frequent the park near Caribou Creek during their migration.
