Mendel Riverbank photo galleryThe riverbank lookout park is a developed sightseeing viewpoint located on the South Saskatchewan River. The lookouts are made of cement, covered and lined with hand rails. They are built leaning out over the river providing scenic views of an island bird sanctuary and river activity.

The covered lookout points are decorated in information signs detailing the scenery and history of the area. There is even a telescope for some close up views of wildlife and scenery.

The Mendal Riverfront is also the site of the Mendel Art Gallery and some ferry docks. The docks are boarding sites for some of the local ferry tours which explore the South Saskatchewan River. Near the art gallery is a centre court area with cement seating and a children's playground.

The Meewasin Valley Trail connects to the Mendel Riverfront Park. The pathway is mostly boardwalk before connecting to the main paved trail. There are sightseeing benches and information signs located along the riverbank path.

Starting from the Mendel Riverfront travel north on the Meewasin Valley Trail and connect with Meewasin Park and Archibald Park... and if you travel south you connect with Kinsmen Park and the Kiwanis Memorial Park.
