Mystery Falls

The highlight of the journey was reaching Mystery Falls, a secluded waterfall tucked deep in the forest. Mystery Falls was about 5 metres high and had a deep overhanging rock ledge. We took a moment to sit on a nearby bench to relax and take in the beauty of the waterfall.

As we continued our hike, we did not spot any wildlife on our Ausable River Valley Trail hike, but we saw evidence of small animals like chipmunks, squirrels and birds. In higher water, it is likely that one might be able to spot fish in parts of the Ausable River.
