Earl Bales Park

Earl Bales Park is a park in North York, Ontario. Located in a predominantly Jewish community, this park plays a role in preserving Jewish history, specifically  The Holocaust. As an example, the park has a peace garden, a memorial to those who perished in The Holocaust. It also has monuments dedicated to members of the Jewish community who served in World War II, and who have made significant contributions to their communities. 

The park is open year-round and even has a small skiing hill in the winter. 

There are often community events held in Earl Bales Park. For example, in July 2022, the Danish Klezmer ensemble Mama Babegenush made their debut Canadian appearance with a rousing concert. 

Less than two weeks later, on July 31st, Ghanafest was held in the Earl Bales park. This brought together community members of the West African diaspora, as well as the general public for a celebration of Ghanaian food and culture.

There are walking trails within the park, and plenty of picnic space for a dinner with friends and family.
