Hunts Point Beach is a protective cove with a beautiful sandy and cobble stone beach located south of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia near the Village of Hunts Point. Water tends to be shallow at low tides and great for wading and playing in the ocean. Wander to the end of the beach, towards the wharf, and one can see lobster shacks. On a clear day one can view Port Mouton Island off in the distance.
Hunts Point Beach adventures, and activities most enjoyed include beachcombing, swimming, picnicking (bring a blanket), sightseeing, kayaking, wildlife watching and birding (birdwatching).
Because it is a small sandy beach with little to no crowds providing big views. Based on comments we heard the beach is great for kids to play and for building sand castles.
The more important, some would say only, features, amenities, services located in and around Hunts Point Beach includes parking. Yup, you are on your own.
