DESCRIPTION:An Invitation to attend the inaugural Robbie Burns Dinner to be held at the new Craigflower Centre.\n\nTickets are $100 and include a welcome glass of wine and a full buffet dinner featuring prime rib, haggis, salmon and chicken.\n\nDoors open at 5 PM and dinner is at 6 PM\n\nThere will also be traditional toasts and entertainment, music and a short dance. Highland or formal dress is suggested.\n\nTICKETS:\nPlease contact Jim at jmaxwell@shaw.ca for tickets.\nThis is a fundraiser to furnish the new Craigflower Community & Performing Arts Centre\n\nThe new Craigflower Community & Performing Arts Centre is a 10,000 square foot Scottish cultural centre on the Craigflower Manor House National Historic Site property along the Old Island Highway at Admirals Road.\n\nThe vision for the centre is to provide a community hub for the performing and visual arts, culture and heritage activities and to bring together different social and cultural activities to reflect local community needs.\n\nThe original Craigflower Manor was built by Kenneth McKenzie in 1856, as a farmhouse for a large Hudson's Bay Company farm. The site later became the main community centre for Fort Victoria. The Victoria Highland Games Association entered into a long-term tenure agreement with the provincial government to manage Craigflower Manor, and it has since been revitalized.\n
