Askew Park is a 3.4 hectare forested park and wilderness trail located in the heart of Chemainus, BC, Canada in the Cowichan Valley. The park is popular year round for hiking, walking , picnicking and birdwatching.  The main feature Chemainus in Askew Park is Askew Creek and the 8 kilometres of walking trails with sightseeing and resting benches. 

The hiking and walking route explores a forest of second growth and old growth trees. Most of the trees that make up the forest are Douglas Fir and Hemlock. As you get closer to the ocean and town centre there are some cedar and arbutus trees. 

At the corner of Chemainus Road and Oak Street there is a good access point for the Askew Wilderness Trail.

How To Get ToAskew Park

:
Travel to the community of Chemainus, BC on Vancouver Island. From Chemainus Road ( main road in community) travel to and park near Oak Street. From the junction there is an access trailhead just ahead.
