Beaver Lodge Forest Lands

The Beaver Lodge Forest Lands (BLFL) is an adventure destination located in the community of Campbell River, BC on Vancouver Island, Canada. The BLFL is a highly used trail network enjoyed by hikers, bikers and horseback riders.

The forestry lands were initially a gift to the Province of BC by the Elk River Timber Company. The conditions of the gifted lands included a clause to ensure that the region be used for experimental work in reforestation and forest management. Today, the lands operate both as a forest project and a recreation destination.

The activity trails are well marked for identification and type of use. Many of the trails are easy grade routes with some being wheelchair and stroller friendly. The trail network navigates through forests leading to ponds, wetlands and marshes ideal for birdwatching.

The Beaver Lodge Forest Lands is best accessed from the main trailhead on Trask Road in Campbell River. There is a parking area at the trailhead and some pit toilets.

In the BLFL there is a main trailhead. The main trail connects Trask Rd to South Dogwood Street. From the main trail there are many off-shoot loop and one-way trails connecting up with each other.

Trails located near the Trask Trailhead include the Huckle Berry, Normas Loop, Beaver Pond, McIvor and Butterfly Trails. The trails in the south end of the park include the Rockland, Pony, Hideaway, Simms West and East Trails.
