Waterfront Raven Trail is walking and jogging path located on the waterfront of Shuswap Lake in the community of Salmon Arm, BC, Canada. No trip to Salmon Arm should be without a visit to the waterfront and its long wooden pier and birding sanctuary walking trails exploring Nature Bay.
The 4.4 kilometre one-way, easy-going walking trail provides great views of the bay and the many birding opportunities in the region. The bay attracts birds to the area for rest and nourishment as it falls under a major bird migration route.
The route, near a large wooden pier, is paved and explores along the protected nature reserve. Continue east on the trail, after the paved walkway on pillars section, and the trail connects to a loop trail and more birding opportunities on Christmas Island.
Located along portions of the paved trail are interpretive signs describing the habitat of the area and its bird population. Along the trail are a few sightseeing benches. For more about the 250+ bird species living and visiting the area stop by the SABNES Nature Centre.
Raven Trail cuts through The Marine Peace Park on the waterfront of Salmon Arm. The park is a picnic area, with a large wooden pier and washrooms.
