Triangle Lake Hiking Trail is located north of Sechelt BC close to the community of Halfmoon Bay on the lower portion of the Sunshine Coast. The hiking-only trail follows, mostly, along Colvin Creek through second growth Alder and Douglas Fir trees leading up to the views looking over Triangle Lake.

The Triangle Lake Hiking Trail is 3.4 km ( 2.1 mi.) each way. The route can take up to 3 hours to complete round trip. The trail starts in a stand of trees, mostly alder, following a tree-rooted path opening up to a meadow and then continuing on up to the summit and Triangle Lake.

Triangle Lake is a small lake identified as a unique bog type ecology. An eco system that is home to many species of wildlife preferring bog like conditions. An ideal setting for photographers and naturalists to document, research and cherish nature at work.

How To Get ToTriangle Lake Hiking Trail

Follow Hwy 101 north 7 km (4.3 mi.) past Sechelt, BC towards the community of Halfmoon Bay. On your approach the big hill in front of you is the destination you will be hiking up. From traveling down Hwy 101 take a left on Redrooffs Road. Continue on the road following the signs pointing towards Sargeant Bay Provincial Park. About 100 m (300 ft.) past the park is the Triangle Lake Trailhead.
