Pioneer Park in Pemberton, British Columbia, Canada is a community park used for festivals and social functions. The park is situated in one corner of the village and during the sunny days the picnic tables within the park are filled with people enjoying lunch, reading a book or lounging around.

Pioneer Park has plenty of green space with large Douglas Fir trees providing selected areas with picnic tables with shade. Set to the side is a wooden sheltered gazebo, often the centre of attention during public presentations and summer festivals.

With further investigation we uncover an outdoor checkerboard and horseshoe pit. Not sure if they see much use, but if you have your own shoes then this is the place to kick back and throw some.

The Friendship Tree planted by the people of Miya, Japan is located in Pemberton's Pioneer Park. The tree is surrounded by stones forming a circle symbolizing the rising sun. The large rock fronting Mt. Currie, beside the tree, is a sitting rock... said to be used for the contemplation of nature.
