Katherine Lake Regional Park is a one of the smaller lakes located off of the northern shores of Pender Harbour, nearest Irvines Landing. Many arrive at the Sunshine Coast park for the sandy beach and the lake activities like swimming, tenting, camping and picnics.

It is visited by both locals and tourists, some are day trippers and others overnight campers staying in the public RV and tent campsite onsite.

The small lake enjoys a sloping sandy beach, two short trails, toilets and showers. There is drinking water onsite and it is wheelchair accessible. The Katherine Lake Regional Park has two types of hiking escapes. The first is a short 15 min walk to get some views looking down on the lake itself. The second and the main trail is named the Spring Creek Trail. This route takes you through forests, ferns and fauna for over 1 km. It is an easy grade route that should take 30 -45 minutes to complete.
