The Waterfront Marine Peace Park is located on the shores of Shuswap Lake on the waterfront of Salmon Arm, BC, Canada. The park was dedicated to international peace and understanding. It may be the most visited destination by visitors and locals in the community.
The signature piece of the marine park is the 135 metre (440 feet) long wooden pier sitting on stilts. The giant pier curves out onto the water connecting to some great marine views, a concession, some washrooms, picnic tables, rentals and a marina.
A few meters from the mouth of the pier is a very busy boat launch with limited space to maneuver. Kayaks and stand-up-paddle-boarders have also been known to launch from here.
On shore The Marine Peace Park becomes a sightseeing and picnicking destination. There are large grassy lawns with picnic tables, washrooms, sightseeing benches and a covered atrium. There is a large parking lot near the washrooms as the back of the park as you enter the park.
The birding and sightseeing Watewrfront Raven Trail bypasses through the park.
