Skattebo Reach Trail is a wilderness hiking trail exploring the backcountry hills high above the Kootenay River located in the community of Castlegar, BC in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. The easy grade 12  kilometre hiking trail should take no longer than 5-6 hours to complete one way.

The highlights of the hiking trail include the many foot bridges, sightseeing opportunities and a waterfall. Some of the scenery highlights include an old Doukhobor Bridge, the Brilliant Overlook Bluffs, the Brilliant Dam, the Little McPhee Waterfall, the Kootenay River and the Skattebo Forest.

The Skattebo Reach Trail is a hiking only trail. One end begins from the Highway #3a Bridge on the Kootenay River in the community of Castlegar, BC. The other end is in Glade. Some start hiking the Skattebo Reach Trail from the Brilliant Dam Terminal Station where there are pit toilets.

The Skattebo Reach Trail mostly follows a narrow single track path. The trail includes hiking over grassy knolls, wooded benches, rock slides, and creeks. It is a self maintained hiking trail. However it is well signed with directional signs and tree markers with the letter "SR" on them.   At times the hiking is under the cover of trees and at other times the hiking is under the direct spotlight of the sun.

The most difficult part of hiking the Skattebo Reach Trail is through the Brilliant Canyon section where the trail comes close to the rough waters of the Kootenay River and the trail becomes steeper with some elevation gain.

The Skattebo Reach connects with many other hiking trails in the region including the Brilliant Overlook Trail, Doukhobor Waterline Trail, McPhee Canyon Trail and the McPhee Waterfall Trail. From the Brilliant Terminal Station the Skattebo Reach Trail can also access the Dove Hill Trail and Elk Cutoff Trail.
